Staff from UK based re-manufacturing company, Dynamic Cassette International, took on the challenge of the London to Brighton bike ride on Sunday (6th September) and successfully completed the course, which included a tough hike up to over 800ft via the infamous Ditchling Beacon.
The foursome all completed the ride in less than 6 hours, although there were some difficulties along the way including punctured tyres and chains coming off, not to mention the post-race aches and pains.
One team member, Fiona Elliott, commented:
It was a challenge and going down the hills was definitely more fun than going up! The training paid off though, and we all made it to the finish with big smiles and a great sense of achievement. We would like to thank everyone that has supported us on our journey and helped fundraise for The Laura Centre.
The Dynamic Peddlers were raising funds in aid of the Laura Centre, a charity that provide a professional bereavement service to parents whose child has died and to children or young people who have been bereaved of a parent or significant person. To date, the foursome have raised over £600, however donations can still be made via their fundraising page.
